VERIFY ISOLATION BEFORE WORK BEGINS AND
USE THE SPECIFIC LIFE PROTECTING EQUIPMENT
Understand the isolations that protect you from danger.
Confirm with the supervisor or the person in charge of the work that isolations are in place.
Confirm with the supervisor or the person in charge of the work that it is safe to start work.
Satisfy yourself that isolations are in place by walking through the process.
IF ISOLATING CIRCUITS OR EQUIPMENT, YOU MUST...
Comply with isolation procedure WIESP_81 or use the client isolation procedure.
Where practicable isolate at the switchboard.
Attach isolation tag and padlock; where isolation involves fuses, retain fuses.
The isolation is only to be removed by the person whose name is on the isolating tag (for exception read WIESP_81).
Lock off the main switch.
At completion of work the apparatus must be appropriately tested.
